Arab American Women's Business Council Scholarship

The Arab American Women’s Business Council (AAWBC) established a scholarship fund to provide educational opportunities to females of Arab descent in the state of Michigan. The objective of these scholarships is to foster the growth and academic achievement of Arab American women. AAWBC awards these annual scholarships to Michigan college students and high school seniors who are college-bound.

Five women will each receive a $1,000 scholarship to help them in their studies. These scholarships are open to all disciplines and the award is based on academic merit combined with financial need.

The deadline for applications is October 23, 2015. The winners will be announced at the November 5, 2015, AAWBC Annual Networking Breakfast event, to which we wish and expect the winners to attend. Our keynote speaker this year is Theresa Ghafari, president and CEO of G-Tech, a staffing company that provides talent in the engineering and technical support fields, information technology and finance/accounting.
