English and World Languages Scholarship

This $500 scholarship is intended for a student who is seriously interested in becoming a teacher of English and/or of a world language. An essay of 900 to 1200 words explaining why the applicant is interested in teaching English and/or a world language is required. The applicant should also have completed at least 12 credit hours at HFC with a GPA of at least 3.0. These completed credit hours must include English 131 or the equivalent in a world language.
