Vivian Morton-Foster Endowed Memorial Nursing Scholarship
Mr. Albert Foster, as a memorial to his loving wife of 42 years, established a memorial scholarship in her remembrance. Vivian was a nurse for many years working in Obstetrics and Med Surgical in the Upper Peninsula and in the Detroit area. She won a government scholarship to Wayne State and earned her MSN in 1969. She immediately began teaching at HFC where she worked for 22 years.
Impact
While teaching Vivian saw the struggle many women with children had with school, family and finances. She would be delighted to help a needy, qualified mother with financial needs reach their professional goals. Her second choice would be anyone with qualifications that had real financial needs.
