Antonio & Concetta Mazzara Endowed Scholarship

The Antonio & Concetta Mazzara Scholarship was established in 1979 by the family of Antonio and Concetta Mazzara. Antonio and Concetta emigrated from Sicily during the 1920’s and brought with them a strong belief in family and the importance of schooling. They believed education was the best way to strengthen families, improve the quality of one’s life, and advance in their newly-adopted country. They instilled these core beliefs into their children from an early age. Among Antonio and Concetta’s proudest moments was to see their children graduate from college and begin new careers as public school teachers.
